Supply Chain Risk Management and Sustainability
Modern Supply chains are facing increasing risk than ever before. In a recent study by FM global, more than 600 financial executives around the world found that respondents identified supply chain risk more than any other as the one with greatest potential to disrupt their revenue drivers. Increased outsourcing strategies as a result of cost pressures are bringing new sources of risk than were perceived before.
The new sources not only include the conventional perceived threats like political and economic risks etc. but also cyber attacks, failed communication with suppliers, terrorism and coping with the most important threat – the environment. Systems Dynamic Modeling for Incentive System in Reverse Logistics
Reverse supply chain for end-of-life products face a unique problem with respect to collection. In many cases, the used products are disposed without proper care by consumers as well as channel partners. The manufacturer has a network of warehouses, franchisees and retailers to distribute new batteries. ...

Is ‘The Toyota Way’ still the right way for a company that has grown so much in the past decade? The leaders of TFS recognized that the only way to ride the whitewater that is the constant state of business today is with a team that is not only rowing together, but also can anticipate the course ahead and make rapid, efficient course changes while on the move. Teams, and therefore companies, cannot rely on the traditional chain of command to remain competitive. Leaders must trust teams to make the right decisions and then empower them with that authority. ...
